Waymaker

I'm sure most of you have heard the song "Waymaker". There's a ton of versions out there now, and I've heard just about all of them that iTunes offers about 10 times a piece. It is probably overplayed, but I get spurts of needing to hear that song. Some days it's the only song that comes through my headphones all day long. I usually pick a song to listen to on loop for the week, or an album until I can't listen to it again for months. However, "Waymaker" has been the song of quite a few weeks. It's a beautiful word. Waymaker.

One of the many words I think God is for us.

God,

Father,

Prince of Peace,

Mighty,

Counselor,

King,

Savior,

Friend,

Healer,

Miracle worker,

Promise Keeper,

Redeemer,

Merciful,

Abba,

Fisher of Men,

Jehovah,

Perfect.

So many more, but these are the ones that stick out to me, especially as I journaled all the words that came to my mind the other night. He's not just a waymaker but that is something He does. He always is making a way. You may not see it but He is. He's a worker of miracles, aren't you so glad that Jesus is in the miracle working business, still today? I am. I am fully expectant of seeing a miracle, constantly. They are all around you. He's a promise keeper. He's a healer. He's a friend. He's a friend who counsels, He's a friend who continues to show up and show out for me. He is a king who humbled Himself for me. He's my savior. He brings peace. He is perfect. He is a Father. He is above all other things. All of His names are above any others. He is God. He is Lord of my life. I love him so much, but I will never be able to love Him as much as He loves me. These words make my heart hurt. They make me want to take off and run, to dance around. So today, I just want to say thank you for being all of these words so perfectly, Lord. Always. I'm in awe of all you are, have been, and continue to be. I love you.
