Turn Toward God.

Are you on the struggle bus this week?

Here is one piece of advice that could change it all: turn toward God.

These three words could change lives. They are what stands between the path of life and death. This is the turning point where everything changes. We choose to turn our backs on the world and turn toward the One who created the world; we are choosing life over death.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -Romans 6:23

A full life is out there waiting for you. The only thing hindering you from having fullness in life is the direction you're facing and who you are catering to. We cannot look at the world and cater to its ways and also have our eyes on eternity. We have to turn away from (repent of) unrighteousness and choose to turn our eyes upon Jesus.

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." -Philippians 1:21

When we choose to look at eternity, everything here looks so small.

A change in perspective can change everything. "To die is gain" because Heaven is our inheritance. "To live is Christ" means that we shift our focus to the ways of Christ. We should imitate the example of Christ. We should proclaim the gospel. We pursue knowledge of Christ, which means learning the Word. We should be willing to purge ourselves of all unrighteousness because we know those things are death and they are not of God and hinder us from being like Christ. But, this all starts with turning toward the Father.

If you know you are struggling, whether that be physically, spiritually, psychologically, financially, whatever it may be, you must know God is a provider. He gives strength when we have none. He meets us in fellowship through prayer. He is able to make a way.

If you are the person struggling with where you are not being where you want to be, know that He makes all things new. (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Who you think you are, and who others think you are is not who God thinks you are.

He has a plan and purpose for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

1 Corinthians 2:9 says "However, as it is written: 'What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived' -- the things God has prepared for those who love him."

His plans are so great for us- His ways are so good that we can not understand the goodness He has prepared. Why is the struggle of today any different? Why would we not turn toward God when He is the one who is already seeing it all happen? There's nothing that surprises Him. He is beyond time. There is nothing greater than He is. There is nothing better we could fix our eyes on than Jesus.

"Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2

" I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven." - Psalm 123:1
