Joy to the world the Lord has come!

Merry Christmas!

I cannot describe the utter joy of the season. Jesus brought joy on that cold night in the lowly stable. Jesus brought hope. Jesus gave us Christmas.

Isaiah 9:6- “...for to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Everything about the way Jesus came is perfect. He made himself available and relatable. He came as a baby, born in a stable. He was born in a way that was the purest way anyone has ever been born. People came from all over to see Him after his birth. Shepherds came to see him, wisemen followed a star for years to be lead to Him, Anna and Simeon waited their entire lives in anticipation for Him.

He saved the world from sin. He is our advocate. He brought joy, peace, unity, love - and still does because we know He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, and He is the greatest gift of all. He is the gift we don't deserve. He gives us the gift of salvation and that is the greatest gift you could ever seek. Christmas is a feeling, it is love. We should live like it is Christmas every day. Praise be to God for this special gift and His promises.

I wish you the merriest of days.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!
