See last week for part 1: the need of grace.

This week is about the provision of grace.

Now that we know why we need grace and that we all need it, we are going to learn how it was provided.

How was grace provided for us since we are such sinners?

Well friend, I'm about to tell you.

Jesus!! Jesus is who rescued us from sin and took that weight upon himself to give us the grace of God. John 3:16 tells us that God gave his only begotten son for us.

Jesus faced death so we could have life and have it abundantly! Then he conquered death, to show that He was more powerful than the worst thing that can/will happen to every single one of us. Since sin entered the world, God had a plan in action to give us an opportunity for grace. He loves you that much.

Ephesians 1:5-6 says " he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. "

He provided Jesus out of love.

Breathe that in. Jesus knew his fate. He had you in mind all along. He paid your debt.

He desires you to be in his presence.

"  This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,  who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. " -1 Timothy 2:3-6

He provided Jesus out of justice.

Although we don't deserve all he has to offer and has provided, He made sure we had the option.

" and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. " - Romans 3:24-26

We should be so excited for this newfound hope because of grace. Turn from sin because of grace, and because the way has already been provided.

" But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. "- 2 Peter 3:18
