"Who can say 'I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin' ?" -Proverbs 20:9

To answer the question above: none but Christ. He is the only one who had both the ability to make pure His own heart and say He was completely clean from sin. However, because of what Christ did for us, we too have the opportunity to be made clean.

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags, and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." -Isaiah 64:6

BUT

"if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, 'Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame. "- Romans 10:9-11

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1

That's the good news. That's the gospel. That's the stuff we should be sharing.

I've been thinking a lot about how much of a privilege it is to be able to speak freely about something so life-changing, exciting, hopeful, and peaceful. Not only the fact that I could share this news just the same as any other, in fact, more than any other news with someone else, but that I have been given the opportunity to "put on" the likeness of God.

"and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness." - Ephesians 4:23-24

I've been thinking about these things. Thinking is different than doing.

Plenty of people all around the world are craving the ability to even hold a piece of the Bible in their hands.

Plenty of people around the world,

back up -

plenty of people IN YOUR HOMETOWN are looking for hope, for good news, for something to look forward to. Let's have that thing be Heaven.

I refuse to think Heaven will be "crowded" because I know God has already prepared us all a place and it is more than we could ever think, or hope for, or imagine, but if that's the mindset you need to have to be a good soul winner then, PACK THE HOUSE.

I challenge you to tell someone about Jesus this week.

Ask someone how you can pray for them.

Be awkward- that's what love would do. Love would set aside self for the 5 seconds of awkward to save a lifetime of regret.

Invite someone to church.

Instead of talking about the political news, talk about the eternal news.

Tell them about church options or live streams and services.

Share your favorite verse.

Share a smile.

Share a hug.

After all, we are clean. Let's live like it.
